Hilux

BETTY-100

This is my Hilux as it sits in its current state. I bought this stock when I was 16 and it has certainly come a long way since. It hasn’t really been touched for 5 years now, but one day I’m sure it will get some attention again.

BETTY-101 A nice shot for the front Z notch. This was one of those times when you just grab the first bit of plate laying around, cut it into shape, weld it on and it seamlessly ends up exactly how you wanted it.

BETTY-102 Great to have a final coat of paint on the chassis, knowing all the major fab work is complete.

BETTY-103Having the chassis laying flat like this is what its all about.

BETTY-104I bought this engine stand purely to mount it up for a quick clean up and paint. It makes it a whole lot easier and more enjoyable with the right tools.

BETTY-105I love this shot, showing the mechanics of it all. I was very happy to see it start piecing back together at this stage.

BETTY-106 Everything packed up and in its resting place.

BETTY-107Despite all the design changes and compromises along the way, the end result was still very similar to what I had envisioned when first buying it.

BETTY-108 Minimal.
